Caynotypes.
Cyanotypes are printing that is used with Photographic materials. This is used with no cameras, just sunlight. This is similar to a photogram/Rayograph, but cyanotypes are created in sunlight.
First you place some objects onto the chemical coated paper and you leave it in the sunlight for about 30seconds. Remove the objects off of the image and place the image into water for about 5minutes, you will see the chemicals start to soak off of the image and produced blue chemical powder. |

Anna Atkins.Anna Atkins was famous for pioneering photographer and the first person to publish a photographically printed and illustrated book. Cyanotypes were the kind of the first type of pictures to come out back then in 1800's. Cameras were not out then.
Cyanotypes are blueprints - Made by Sir John Herschel, he discovered that ferric salts can be reduced to light. The light combines with the salts which gives it a blue and white effect! ...A little while after Anna Atkins one of a few during that time published a book of photographs rather then illustrations called ''British Algae: Cyanotype impressions''. John Herschel read the news paper about the effect on light - Vegetable pigments. The pigments are from flowers, for photographic purposes. He found out that Iron salts which were used for the metallic state.
