moving images.
Eadweard Muybridge
Muybridge was the man who used photography on a moving horse.
He took many photos by triggering the images on a shutter camera, his theory was to test if when a horse would run, if their 4 legs would lift in the air which would mean the horse was flying. No one apart from Eadweard has tested this out, he was the first of it. Eadweard Muybridge gained a lot of money from what he had come up with, it was a very clever invention from when this first was shown. The pictures above show the amount of images that he had taken and put them together into a moving image. Muybridge came up with the idea of moving images and it become worldwide and all famous photographers would used moving images. |

Animated gift. This is my animated gift that I made, this is a series of images thats been taken and put together, as a film. As you can see the movement changes very quick and lots of things are happening in 45seconds of the gift, this is a easier version of what Muybridge designed. this is already build into a apple mac computer, which is a good idea for for people to experiment with.
Theres an app on Ipad's/Ipod's called Mopho which is a good app when using moving images, you can take as many photos as you like and it will turn itself into a film automatically. All you need is a Ipod/Ipad/Iphone to make a moving image. I really like this moving film that I have made because it shows a series of pictures which have been shot and put together and it just shows all the different movements that I have been doing in the 45seconds of the film. |
This is a moving film from Sam Taylor-Wood called still life which was made in 2001, this is a very famous moving film. This was displayed in Tate Modern: It took a long period of time, maybe about 3-6months or so.
I really so inspire Sam's idea of fruit, its very clear and it is quite interesting. |
