Anton Kawasaki; New York City, NY
I really like the images that Anton Kawaski has taken. The range of bright colours that has been used in photos are really eye catching, that's what i really like about his mobile photos. Anton like's to take his mobile photography on an Iphone; He say's that its easier to take, its got quick quality and has a very good camera.
His images have been placed in magazines, (both online and print) also some are even in exhibition in various cities around the world, including: New York, Berlin, San Francisco and Atlanta. "A good photograph needs to tell a story or evoke an emotion. If it doesn't 'speak' well, no one will hear what you tried to say..." This is one of Anton's quotes. This goes really well with his mobile images because they tell us a story.. Just by looking at what he's taken tells us very thing we need to know, and by the bright colours hes used to the dark, we can tell the emotion change that's show in his images. |
These are Anton Kawaski's Mobile photography images that hes taken on his Iphone.
I really inspire his photography, his images tell us a story and show emotion, with the colours that are shown in his images just give it that happy and bright effect and make up for the whole picture, his images are just taken from completely random moments, as in these are not rehearsed images. Its just everyday lives happening and he is taking images of bright objects or any kind of thing that stands out and showing us something different. With the bright colours being used it give that happy feeling and makes you feel alive, His images are very eye catching and interesting, something that I would not get bored of looking at very day. |

These images are completely different compared to the other bright coloured ones that he's taken. These are more dark and don't show as much emotion, they seem quite dark and dull. The people in the images look quite sad and give you that sad emotional feeling towards these images. This images don't tell us enough. Its like a mystery that will never be let out, theres no meaning and point of these images. I would say that these images are not as good as the first set he has taken. |

Image 2:I've chosen this as one of my favorite images because it shows me the positive side of elderly age.
What i mean by 'positive side of elderly age' is that this man don't seem as if he needs help managing his shopping? Hes wealthy enough to do it himself, He seems quite independent. Even though you can not see his face and see his facial expression this does give emotion. Yet... At the same time he looks about lonely; With the fact that the pictures in black and white just touches up to that sad emotion feeling. The black and white effect gives us that dull look. My emotion only goes towards the man, but as of the background no emotion or feelings are shown for that. |
Chun Tong Chung; Amsterdam, The Netherlands.I really like Chun Tong Chung's photography, because of the fact that it's so simple. He takes images of random people just doing there everyday life! He takes unexpected photos and makes them look as if they're planned!
Chun Tong Chung was a man that grew up with many pictures taken of him as a young child; His parents would take pictures of him all the time as he was growing up and they would send them over to his grandparents so they would see the growth hes making, he was so used to pictures because taken of him that's when he knew that was something he would love to do as he got older and something for him to take up! "I mean, what is the point of taking photographs if you can't show it to anybody?" This is Chun Ton Chungs quote.. This is a true quote because you see people taking pictures and thinking to themselves that its a really bad picture and they don't want to show anybody! but photos that turn out right you can make right! show the world you disaster, because you may think it is, but it isn't! its a work of art! |

This is Chun Tong Chung's Mobile photography that he had taken on his Iphone.
This is a couple of Chun's photos that he had taken on this mobile, i really like these photos because there on some kind of theme, theres; romance, people smoking, a guy with a nose bleed but they tell us a lot, and it shows us about whats going on, i like the black and white effect because it shows the dark emotion and makes the image look really clear and it's not colourful and confusing. |
ADVANTAGES;1) Can carry everywhere 2) Contact with others easily (convenient) 3) No limit or places 4) Have a lot of functions e.g. take photos, listen to music…. 5) Use it when you are bored 6) Have different styles and colours 7) 3G service |
disadvantages;1)affect our study 2)harm to our body 3)easily to break 4)easily damage by water |
FIRST ATTEMPT:
We had been sent off as homework to take 10 pictures from a mobile phone device, or an Ipod, or even an Ipad. The pictures had to be set on the following:
I choose colour; Their are a range of different colour leafs. I liked the idea of the theme i choose, this is because it shows different sized and shaped leafs with a mixture of different colours. I used a blackberry mobile phone device; I would say that it is not a useful camera to take photos with. It is not clear enough to show detail in the images that's been taken. But as a first i can compare it to my next attempt of mobile photography and see what I will gain from it. |
SECOND ATTEMPT: This is another homework that we was sent, it was the same as the previous... We only were told to take 5 images this time. (Some images above) I based mine on light, i liked light because i like the different colours that lights are, as one of the photos I've taken has a blue light, and it contains different kind of shades of blue, Light isn't a particular colour that's what fascinates me. I think as my 2nd attempt of mobile photography, this went rather well compared to my first, It's much more of an improvement and i've defiantly defined what mobile photography is really about. If i had to improve on this, i would have stepped outside and taken more outdoor images rather then using the light that's round about's in my house. |
Me and my class went on a tour around Southbank and went to a couple of art gallery's, and we have taken some photos of what inspire us. We used Ipod's, this is linked to Mobile photography which is what we have been doing in the past couple of months. i think when visiting both gallery's it has shown us what mobile photography is really about, and has brought out our true colours. I now know how to take photos on a mobile devices and use different apps to use the right setting of colour themes and edits.
I'm very please with most of the photos i've taken, I would say some of them look very professional and look as if a famous photographer Is taken them.
Mobile photography tells you a lot, and these photos do tell you a lot about whats happening all around.

Tim walker-story teller.I really enjoyed Tim Walkers work, Its's very eye catching and really tell's a story that we could imagine in our mind's.
His work is very different, very big, colourful and really interesting! |
caRTIER bRESSON.Cartier Bresson's work was very interesting but not all paintings he done was very eye catching like tim walkers are.
His paintings are not sized well enough, they are quite small and hard to find the detail. |
